For this #figureoftheday we feature the Prince Adam Reedition from Top Toys!
In Argentina, many different variants of Adam were made. The first releases were soft head Adams with Taiwan heads. The second releases were hard head Adams. Both first and second releases share the same short muscular legs and small body. They differ primarily in the head (soft vs hard).
The third releases are the "pre-reeditions". These are figures that differ primarily in that they use a large, MATTEL INC marked torso. They generally do not come with belts but they do come with vests. The sword can either be a common TT Adam sword or can be a dark pink sword using the reedition mold. In the case of the example shown, the shorts were molded in black and painted purple.
The final (fourth release) of the Adam is known as the Prince Adam reedition. This amazing figure is colloquially nick-named the evil Adam due to it having Skeletor shorts! The torso can come in one of two variants. Either a blank back large body (pictured here) with square arm joints, or it can have the pre-reedition big body marked MATTEL INC with round joints.
The legs are the reedition mold as well. If you see in the picture, its significantly taller than previous Adams, due the the longer legs. The colors of this variant differ in the hands and neck, in that they are a darker brown color. The Sword of this figure uses the Skeletor reedition mold. The reedition Adam was released without vest or belt.
Something I find interesting is that while the colors in the hands change, the arm molds are the same as in all other prior adams. This detail doesn't change until you get to the "Warehouse / Deposito" Adam that was released with he-man reedition arms.
