Roboto, the “Heroic mechanical warrior,” was produced in Hong Kong, Venezuela, France, and Spain. Equipped with a mechanical gear torso, his jaw opens, and his gears move as you twist his waist. He comes with three different weapon attachments.
The Rotoplast Roboto features bright silver boots, flat, dark red shorts, and very hard, dark, and opaque silver weapons. The most identifiable characteristic of the Rotoplast Roboto is its missing chest circuit board. All Robotos except the Rotoplast have a clear circuit board that covers most of the torso. Unlike the standard Hong Kong figure, the figure does not suffer from paint leeching, but its transparent torso is highly fragile and prone to breaking.
The figure used the France mold, marked © MATTEL. INC. 1984 (in uppercase) in the back of the head, as opposed to the Hong Kong version marked in lowercase. The lower back has a bar that covers the original France marking. All accessories have a similar bar covering the original marking. They are made of very hard plastic and dark, opaque silver.
Roboto and Ninjor were released in the last wave, which led to lower production quantities and a higher difficulty of finding them than other characters in the line.
