Trap Jaw Estrela (Brazil)
In Brazil, Trap Jaw, known as “Mandibula” had a series of interesting features that make it unique, not to mention that it had its own, unique to Brazil comic.
Mandibula is marked “Estrela S.A.” behind the figure. It’s unique in its dark, candy red helmet and vibrant greens. The Mouth is “bloody” in that it has that red overpaint, similar to a France bloody jaw, yet the head paint app is completely different than a Frenchy. It also has a sort of "battle wear” on the jaw that is from factory. I’ve noticed this on all the Trap Jaws Estrela I’ve run across.
The weapon attachments are unmarked and made of a fairly rigid plastic, although not quite as rigid as Aurimat or France. The belt is a semi-translucent green, that is only marked with numbers.
One of the draws to Estrela is that they made their own, unique comics not seen in any other COO. The colors on these comics tend to be very colorful just like the Estrela figures, and the drawing style is a bit more cartoon like and unrefined compared to a standard MOTU comic. These comics are even rarer than the figures, and they are what initially drew me to this small but beautiful line.
