Battle Armor He-Man

SUMMARY:
Battle Armor He-Man, the “most powerful man in the universe” was produced in Taiwan, Mexico (Mabamex + Aurimat), Venezuela, Argentina, Spain, Italy, India, and France. Equipped with an ingenious “battle damage” action feature that had three damage indicators, as the chest is struck, the emblem changes from undamaged, to one slash, to two slashes.

The Top Toys Battle Armor He-Man can be identified by its hard plastic head, purple chest slashes, and large reedition-mold limbs. The boots are dark maroon, the shorts dark red, and the belt can come in various shades of red.

The figure in all editions is marked © Mattel. Inc. 1981. 1983. with the COO removed, and the weapons are unmarked. They used the Taiwan model, and in fact, you can see the "Taiwan" scratched off of the mold.

As with most Top Toys, there can be a huge range of color variance from one figure to the next. The colors of the hair color, belt, and even skin tones vary. The slash marks can vary from vibrant purples to dark purples.

The figures can be divided into 3 main variations. The "tostado" or tanned skin tone variant, the mid-skin tone, and the "palido" or pale skin tone variant. In fact, you can even find figures that are a mix of these, such as a “palido” version, with “tostado” legs.

The “palido” is considered the rarer of the versions, and we can consider it a “re-issue” due to its production during the reedition time in the 90s. The accessories of this figure would be the softer/bendier reedition.

It's important to note though, that all Top Toys Battle Armor He-Mans share the same figure and accessories mold.
