Battle Armor Skeletor

SUMMARY:
Battle Armor Skeletor, the “evil lord of destruction” was produced in Taiwan, Mexico (Mabamex + Aurimat), Venezuela, Argentina, Spain, India, and France. Equipped with an ingenious “battle damage” action feature that had three damage indicators, as the chest is struck, the emblem changes from undamaged, to one slash, to two slashes.

The INDIA Battle Armor Skeletor can be identified by its hard, black head with lime green and bright orange face paint, and bright lavender chest armor. The Bat emblem is pink with green outlines and silver slash marks.

The figure came in 2 main variants. A light skin tone figure, and a mid-dark skin tone figure. It's important to understand though that Leo limbs tend to shift in color from their factory blue to limbs with a green tint. Likewise, the black hood shifts in color to brown.

What makes the Leo India version stand out is that it's the only COO to use the He-Man torso mold for a Battle Armor Skeletor!

The figure is marked © MATTEL INC. 1981. 1983 (TAIWAN ERASED) since it used the Battle Armor He-Man chest mold.

The accessories that came with this figure are flexible, blackish, and have a tendency to fade to brown. The staff is marked 8, and the sword is marked 5042-2259 -8.
