SUMMARY:
Buzz-Off, the “heroic spy in the sky” was produced in Hong Kong, Mexico (Aurimat), Argentina, Venezuela, Brazil, France, and Spain. This bee-like figure twists his waist, spreads his wings, and comes with both an axe and a removable helmet.
The France Buzz-Off is characterized by mid-brown tones, bright yellow colors, and solid dark green eyes. This is notable in that most other Buzz-Offs tend to have fluorescent eyes. The helmet and wings are hard rubber, and the weapon is hard plastic.
The figure, wings, and helmet are marked © MATTEL INC FRANCE 1983. The warm brown axe is marked with a single batch number on the blade (such as a 10) and a series of smaller part numbers on the handle (4923-2549).
