The Los amos Skeletor is characterized by paler greenish blue skin tones and a face paint application that resembles the hong kong Skeletor in that the yellow paint is pointed (rather than rounded). The accessories are generally a dark purple, almost black and are all marked Hong Kong. The figure itself I’ve seen marked both Mattel Inc 1981 and Mattel Inc 1983. There’s reportedly a “Mexico” marked Skeletor variant, but that is unconfirmed. Skeletor (just like He-Man) has variations of the hand mold that have both the hand bump and that omit it.
The Los Amos Skeletor has 2 main face variations. The first a muted yellow face that I call a “ghost face”, and the second a more vibrant yellow face paint application. Minor face variations seem to exist as well.
The armor can range in color from a dark, almost black to a gray tone, to blue and even to purple. There’s debate as to how many variations of the colors are legitimate factory variances and how many are due to color shifting / degradation. What is known for sure is that there is at the very least 2 different colors, and possibly more. All Los Amos Skeletors are Soft head.
Figure marked: Mattel Inc 1981 or Mattel Inc 1983
