Spain Clamp Champ - Clamp Weapon
The Spain Clamp Champ can be identified by its head molded in brown, with hair painted black. This is the inverse of the Malaysia figure that has the head molded in black, with the face painted brown. The eyes on the Spain figure are buggy, white, with small black pupils. The bright silver belt paint is not fully painted, showing a red border.
The figure is marked SPAIN, the armor is marked © MATTEL INC. 1983, and the clamp is marked © MATTEL INC. 1986 MALAYSIA. The armor is a deeper blue with bright silver highlights, and the weapon has a matte brushed metal texture, that is different than the glossy finish on the MALAYSIA weapon.
There are 2 variations on the Clamp Champ Spain. The common hard arms version, and a rare version with rubber arms. The rubber arms are very bendy and soft.
