Battle Armor Skeletor

SUMMARY:
Battle Armor Skeletor, the “evil lord of destruction” was produced in Taiwan, Mexico (Mabamex + Aurimat), Venezuela, Argentina, Spain, India, and France. Equipped with an ingenious “battle damage” action feature that had three damage indicators, as the chest is struck, the emblem changes from undamaged, to one slash, to two slashes.

The Spain Battle Armor Skeletor can be identified by its soft opaque head with lime green outer face paint, heavy diagonal lines between the eyes, baby blue limbs, and light purple torso and boots. The chest bat emblem is pink, with a lime green outline and vibrant silver slashes. Its accessories are soft and gummy.

The Spain Battle Armor Skeletor was fabricated by Congost starting Feb 1986 and culminating with the Battle Armor Skeletor with Cassette, in May of 1988. The initial (1986) release has black leg bands and Congost accessories (blank sword and staff).

The following editions (1987) transitioned to translucent leg bands and France-marked accessories. The Sword is marked “FRANCE”, and the staff is marked “FRANCE”.

While there can be hue differences in the hair, belt, and boots between figures, I generally consider these to be minor changes and classify them as factory variances.
