SUMMARY

The Taiwan Rattlor represents the Mattel standard and serves as the baseline against which all other Rattlor releases are compared.

This figure features a brick-red body, a mustard-brown belt with a vivid green snake emblem, and light yellow chest paint. It is marked © MATTEL INC. 1985 TAIWAN on the lower back, while the soft, rubbery tail is stamped 2036 2069, with very subtle injection points along the interior. The brick-red staff, matching the body, is gummy and flexible, and marked © MATTEL INC. 1985 TAIWAN.

Two variants are known. The standard release features a yellow neck, while the earlier, rarer variant has a red neck. Aside from the neck color, the figures are identical. Taiwan is the only release to feature the red neck variation; all other countries produced Rattlor exclusively with yellow necks.
