SUMMARY:
Teela, the “warrior goddess,” was produced in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mexico (Aurimat), Argentina (Top Toys), Venezuela (Rotoplast), Brazil (Estrela), Spain, and India (Leo). Teela has a spring-loaded waist that swings back with a power punch, a snake harness, a shield, and a staff.
The Aurimat Teela features bronze armor tones, a bright white bodysuit, maroon hair and boots, and pale skin tones. Released in the first year of Los Amos del Universo production (1984), it is one of the few Aurimat figures that is completely unmarked. The boots are dark maroon, matching the hair, and the lips are rose pink.
The red weapons are very particular because they are the same mold as the earliest Taiwan promotional Teela with green-eyed snake armor. You can see this in the short staff and the shield, which is slightly distorted (rather than perfectly circular). They are opaque, somewhat rigid, and sink in water, unlike regular Taiwan Teela accessories that float.
