He-Man

SUMMARY:

He-Man, the “most powerful man in the universe” was produced in Taiwan, Malaysia, Mexico (Mabamex + Aurimat), USA, Venezuela, Argentina, Spain, Italy, India, and France. This figure comes with removable armor, a shield, axe,  power sword. Like most vintage figures, it has a twisting punch action.

The Los Amos He-Man is characterized by dark maroon boots, a pale complexion (similar to a Mabamex He-Man), light gray accessories, and pale skin tones. All 4 accessories are marked MEXICO, and the figure is marked © Mattel Inc 1981 in the back. All figures are soft heads and have MEXICO written under the neck.

The Aurimat He-Man was initially released in the first year of the Los Amos del Universo production (1984). The figure has a pronounced callus on the right hand and black eyebrows.

The following year (1985), the figure got an updated face paint app that swaps the earlier black eyes/eyebrows to brown. This is the same head that is on Prince Adam Aurimat.

He-man was presumably released for a third wave (1986). The logic would be that it would be without a hand bump, and with brown eyes/eyebrows.

A select few Aurimat He-Mans are big boot (the same size as Flying Fists). Big boot He-Mans have brown eyes/eyebrows, so it stands to reason they were either a 1985 or a 1986 release.
