Faker
SUMMARY:
The Aurimat Faker can be identified by its dark purple shorts and boots, dark orange (matte) hair, and intense orange accessories. Faker came with a sticker on a sticker sheet, rather than with the sticker on the figure like Taiwan or Malaysia figures. For this reason, you rarely see them with stickers. In fact, it's probably more common to see them with stickers on the back of the figure instead of the front.
Initially released in the first year of the Los Amos del Universo production (1984), Faker is marked © Mattel. Inc.1981 in the lower back, © MATTEL. INC. 1983 HONG KONG on the inside armor, and HONG KONG (with a 23 batch number) on the sword. Both accessories are an intense, semi-rigid orange and feel higher quality or more substantial than Taiwan or Malaysia faker accessories. The figure has a pronounced hand callus in the right hand for better handling of weapons.
The following year (1985) Faker was re-released with somewhat thinner, and lighter orange accessories. The figure appears to have stayed more or less the same.
There’s an unconfirmed MEXICO marked release as well. It's possible that this version would have been the 1986 release, but as yet, there’s not enough conclusive evidence to know for sure.
