SUMMARY:
Beastman, the “savage henchman,” was produced in Taiwan, Malaysia, Mexico (Aurimat), Argentina (Top Toys), Venezuela (Rotoplast), Brazil (Estrela), France, Spain, and India (Leo). He is equipped with a spring-loaded waist that swings back with a power punch, a harness, arm armor (2x), and a whip.
The Aurimat Beastman is distinguished by its dark orange color, semi-translucent head, and dark red accessories, which are notably more rigid and thicker compared to those from the Taiwan or Malaysia versions. Released in the first year of the Los Amos del Universo line (1984), both the figure and armor are stamped with © Mattel, Inc. 1981. MEXICO. The arm pads are marked “MEXICO,” while the armbands and whip bear no markings. The harness features a unique paint scheme: the central emblem is left unpainted, surrounded by a faint, pale blue accent.
The whip is shorter than those from most other COOs, and its handle is particularly fragile. As a result, Aurimat Beastman whips are commonly found with the handle missing.
