SUMMARY
The Top Toys Jitsu figure is recognizable by its hard plastic head, dark brown skin tones, small torso, and unmarked accessories.
First released in fall/winter 1986, the standard Top Toys Jitsu came equipped with small hero-mold legs, a gold-painted chopping hand, gold-accented boots, and bright red shorts.
As the line continued, Top Toys introduced several “reedition” versions toward the end of production. These reeditions kept the same head, torso, and arm proportions as the standard figure but featured larger reedition-mold legs and introduced variations in color and materials.
There are three main reeditions:
- First reedition: Nearly identical to the standard release but with the larger leg mold.
- Second reedition: Featured salmon-colored (lighter red) shorts, boots without gold detailing, and most notably, a bronze-colored chopping hand.
- Third reedition: Retained the salmon shorts but returned to gold-lined boots. This version has matte skin tones and perhaps most famously includes a Fisto-mold fist — dark bronze in color, made from translucent green-injected plastic.
