SUMMARY

Released in 1983, the Hong Kong Man-at-Arms features vibrant mid-green skin tones, a turquoise helmet and belt, and dark red shorts and boots. The figure is typically marked © Mattel, Inc. 1983, though a less common 1981-stamped version also exists. Heads are generally made of hard rubber but can vary in consistency, ranging from very firm to semi-soft, though never as soft as those from the Taiwan production.

The accessories are opaque orange and marked HONG KONG, along with 9-12 batch numbers.

This version is sometimes mistaken for the first edition Aurimat Man-at-Arms, as the overall color scheme is similar. However, when compared side by side, the Hong Kong figure shows several distinctions: more subdued yellow eye highlights, a hard head, and the more common 1983 marking. The Aurimat version, in contrast, bears a 1981 marking and comes with more opaque, rigid accessories. Notably, both share identical HONG KONG markings and the same set of batch numbers (9–12).
