SUMMARY:
The Hong Kong figure is characterized by its caramel skin tones, bright red shorts and black belt, gold-chopping hand, and soft head with strong, dark features.
The figure can be marked © Mattel. Inc. 1983 HONG KONG or © Mattel. Inc. 1983 without a country marking. The figure was produced both in Hong Kong and China, and the thought is that the non-country marked version was the China-made figure.
The figures are very similar but have a few differences. The Hong Kong-marked has a glossy torso finish, injection points along the boot fur line, and overall browner skin tones. The no country marked figure has the injection points above the boot fur line, and the skin tones have more orange in them.
The weapon can be marked HONG KONG, or it can come with no COO. The armor appears to be the same on both figures and is marked © Mattel. Inc. 1983 in the back.
