SUMMARY
The France Man-at-Arms is characterized by bright neon-green skin tones, a light blue (celeste) helmet, a bright blue belt, and translucent orange accessories. All figures have soft heads, though the material consistency can vary. The figure is marked MADE IN FRANCE, the armor pieces are marked FRANCE, and the weapon is unmarked.
One of the most distinctive features of the French release is the left arm armor, which includes a molded cuff—a detail carried over from the original Man-at-Arms prototype. This specific mold was later sent to India and Spain, where it was reused for their respective Man-at-Arms editions. The same cuffed arm armor appears on the Leo India “Black Boot” variant and the Spanish Reedition figure.
Two main variants of the French Man-at-Arms are known. The first version features standard plastic boots painted at the mid-fur line, which can range from bright red to dark maroon.
The second version, known as the soft boot variant, has rubber boots molded directly onto the legs with an integrated (non-removable) leg band in matching color. France produced only seven figures with this rubber-boot configuration, making it the only country of origin to issue such figures.
Accessories are consistent across both versions.
