SUMMARY:
Beastman, the “savage henchman” was produced in Taiwan, Malaysia, Mexico (Aurimat), Argentina (Top Toys), Venezuela (Rotoplast), Brazil (Estrela), France, Spain, and India (Leo). He is equipped with a spring-loaded waist that swings back with a power punch.

In Argentina, Top Toys produced various Beastman variants. I would classify them in broad strokes as:

  • 1st Editions: Soft head, plastic limbs
    2nd Editions: Hardhead, plastic limbs
  • Reeditions: Hardhead, larger, hard-rubber limbs
  • Depositos: Hardhead, larger, hard-rubber limbs, unpainted features

All Top Toys Beastmans (and Moss Mans), start to finish share the same torso mold with square arm pegs and arm mold. While the leg mold changes in the reedition, the most noticeable difference is in the type of material. The limbs on the 1st/2nd editions are plastic, while in the reeditions (and depositos) it's more of a hard rubber.

First edition Beastmans are soft heads with plastic limbs. The harness and cuffs on the very first release are plastic, unpainted, and the whip has a black handle with a thick, black string. The following soft head release is the same figure, but the accessories change to a gummier, softer plastic, and the whip now has a red, plastic string.

The 2nd editions share the same mold as the 1st editions, except for having a hard plastic head. The accessories are the same, except that you have both darker and lighter versions as opposed to one single hue. There is a version of the 2nd edition that has an unpainted belt and salmon color elements. For example, it can come with a peach-colored head with standard orange legs, salmon-colored head and limbs, or just salmon-colored legs but a standard orange head. This version is generally seen with darker accessories.

As the line progressed, there was a transition at Top Toys, where the limbs were now made in hard rubber material, and the leg mold changed to smoother, more robust legs. The legs can be identified easily by the injection marks in the calf, as opposed to the prior version with injection points behind the thigh.

There are two main reeditions. First the “common” reedition, with gummy, blood-red accessories, and a dark green belt. The whip can be one of 3 variants;  the standard black handle with red plastic string, a black handle with thick red string, or a black handle with a rarer, thicker red string known as a mouse tail.

The second, and rarest Beastman variant would be the maroon (bordo) accessories figure. This figure itself is similar to the common reedition, except for a much lighter greenish-yellow belt. The accessories are maroon, and the whip handle is maroon, with a thick red string (also mouse tail)

Another set of 3x Beastman variants exists in the Deposito / Warehouse figures. Warehouse figures were never officially released. They were the last production figures that were never finalized. The Warehouse Beastman comes in all large reedition bodies and limbs, unpainted shorts molded in maroon, black, and blue. All three use blood-red, very gummy accessories. The black shorts version is paired with a black handle whip, but no cord. The maroon shorts version is paired with a maroon handle whip, but no cord. And the blue shorts version is paired with a reedition Zodac blaster.

Lastly, there exists a whip with a black handle, and a blue, plastic string. This whip came with the Top Toys weapons pack, not with any Beastman variant.
